We spent our March break exploring the incredibly beautiful state of Utah. I (K) thought there was never any reason to go to Utah but boy was I wrong. Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park were two of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been. It truly felt like we were on another planet. It was so refreshing to disconnect from all the busyness at home and spend hours outside hiking, pushing our limits, and spending time together. Our calves killed for a week straight and it was totally worth it. One of the funniest moments was when Em got up in the middle of the night after our first day of hiking (~16 miles) and almost fell over because her legs didn’t work.
The town right outside of Zion, Springdale, was the coolest town ever. Lots of restaurants, galleries, and Inns all within walking distance. This was really the only place to stay if you were hiking in Zion so you would see people on the trail and then see them later in the day walking to a gallery or enjoying an ice cream. It was a neat and temporary little community.
